Thank you for visiting my page. I believe that the best legal representation combines aggressive and zealous action against insurance companies, combined with compassion and understanding for my client. I work on every case to maximize the recovery for my injured client, no matter how long it takes, or how hard a fight the insurance company puts up. I offer that commitment to all of my clients, and take that role extremely seriously.
Insurance companies will do everything they can to minimize your recovery. Injured people need tireless advocates ready to proceed with trial if necessary on their side. You have found the right place. We are a small firm, with almost 100 years of success.
As of 2026, I have been practicing law for twenty years. I truly enjoy bringing my decades of trial experience to help people whose lives have changed because of injury, negligence, or unsafe working conditions. I know from personal experience how much back pain, for example, can impact someone’s life.
When I obtain monetary compensation for my clients, it is highly rewarding.
As a partner at Shebell & Shebell, my mission is to stand up for injured workers and personal injury accident victims across New Jersey — making sure they receive the medical treatment and full compensation they’re entitled to under the law. Every case I take on is an opportunity to help someone rebuild their life and move forward with dignity.
My work focuses on personal injury and workers’ compensation cases — from catastrophic on-the-job accidents to complex occupational exposure claims. I’ve represented clients throughout New Jersey in both State and Federal Court, handling cases from the date of injury through trial. My years of trial experience have taught me that no two cases are the same, but the commitment to fight for the maximum amount of compensation for someone’s injuries never changes.

Before joining Shebell & Shebell, I served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. From 2007 to 2012, I handled every level of criminal prosecution, from initial case investigation to jury trials. Those five years taught me the importance of preparation, precision, and persistence in the courtroom — lessons I carry with me into every civil or worker’s compensation case I try today.
In 2012, I joined Shebell & Shebell and began focusing on representing individuals who were injured through no fault of their own. My trial background gave me a strong foundation for litigating personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, and in 2018, I earned certification from the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney — a designation held by only about 2 percent of lawyers in the state. That recognition reflects not just experience, but a proven record of skill and professionalism in the courtroom. I was recertified in that regard in 2023.
Trial work has always been at the heart of what I do. I believe in giving every client the best possible representation — exploring every path to recovery and never backing down from a fight. Whether I’m handling a catastrophic injury or a complex exposure case, I approach each one with the same level of determination and respect. My clients know that I’m always ready to go the distance when justice demands it. Insurance companies know when your lawyer is afraid to try a case, or rushes to settle their clients cases for their own profit. You won’t find that here.
My experience in worker’s compensation has also allowed me to served on the Executive Committee of the Justice Coleman Inn of Court. This is a statewide organization that brings together in a collegial learning environment both lawyers and Judges throughout New Jersey who practice in the field of worker’s compensation. I am regular presenter and lecturer in this capacity, teaching various aspects of worker’s compensation law.
In addition to my professional practice, community involvement has always been important to me. I’ve served for years on the Board of Trustees for The Legal Aid Society of Monmouth County, a nonprofit that provides free legal services to people in need. From 2018 to 2020, I was honored to serve as the organization’s President. I also serve on the Aberdeen Zoning Board and take part in multiple fundraising efforts for Multiple Sclerosis research. Giving back to the community is part of who I am, both as a lawyer and as a person.
My legal journey began after clerking for the Honorable Ira E. Kreizman in the Monmouth County Superior Court Criminal Division and interning for Magistrate Judge Tonianne Bongiovanni of the U.S. District Court. Those early experiences gave me valuable insight into how justice is built — not in theory, but in action. They also strengthened my respect for the integrity of our court system and the responsibility we have as advocates.
The most influential mentor in my life, however, was my father, Judge Mark T. Apostolou Sr., who practiced law and served the people of Monmouth County for over 30 years. From him, I learned the value of education, hard work, and humility. Every day, I strive to apply those lessons — treating clients with the same fairness and honesty that have defined my family’s legacy in the legal community.
