For more than twenty-five years, I’ve been practicing law with one goal in mind — achieving justice and meaningful results for my clients. My work has always been focused on complex civil litigation, where preparation, strategy, and understanding the details make all the difference. At Shebell & Shebell, I use the experience I’ve gained on both sides of the courtroom to provide clear, powerful representation for injured individuals and their families.
I’m admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and New York, and my career began with a strong academic foundation. After graduating summa cum laude from Elmira College and being elected to Phi Beta Kappa, I earned my law degree from the College of William & Mary School of Law, where I competed on the National Trial and Moot Court Teams. I then completed my LL.M. in European Union Law and Policy from the University of Edinburgh, an experience that deepened my perspective on law and advocacy.
Before representing plaintiffs, I spent seven years defending complex civil cases — particularly medical malpractice claims involving catastrophic injuries. That early experience was invaluable. I handled cases on behalf of doctors, nurses, and major hospital systems, navigating every stage of litigation from investigation to trial. Those years taught me how the defense builds its cases — knowledge I now use to anticipate strategies and strengthen my clients’ positions.
Today, I focus my practice on personal injury, professional liability, and medical malpractice claims. I’ve handled cases involving wrongful death, birth injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and serious surgical errors. These are not just legal cases — they are deeply personal stories of loss, recovery, and resilience. My role is to guide clients through these challenges with both skill and compassion while securing the outcomes they deserve.

I’ve also had the privilege of arguing and briefing complex appellate matters, which has sharpened my analytical and writing skills. Whether before a jury or a panel of judges, I approach each case with precision and respect for the process. My goal is not just to win, but to make sure my clients’ voices are heard and their rights fully protected.
Over the years, I’ve earned recognition from Super Lawyers (2012–2014, 2017–2026), an honor that reflects peer acknowledgment of professional achievement and dedication to clients. But beyond titles or awards, what matters most to me is trust — the trust my clients place in me to handle their most serious matters with integrity and focus.
Outside the courtroom, I’m proud to be involved in the legal community and to contribute to the development of trial advocacy in New Jersey. I’m an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and enjoy mentoring younger attorneys on case strategy and ethical practice. Giving back to the profession that’s given me so much is something I take seriously.
Each client I represent reminds me why I became a lawyer in the first place — to stand up for people when the odds are against them. Litigation can be complex and intimidating, but when approached with preparation, empathy, and tenacity, it can also be transformative. My mission is to bring clarity to that process and results to those who need them most.
